What a difference a year makes!  Aetna decreased all of their rates by approximately 12.5% in 2011.  Contrarily, Assurant underwent the most drastic increase, raising rates by 47%, and Kaiser behaved similarly, raising rates by 32% in 2011.  Blue Cross Blue Shield Carefirst and Celtic went through more modest increases, 7% and 9% respectively.  And Health Insurance Innovations changed their coverage twice which makes a rate comparison more difficult.

Any number of conclusions can be drawn from this data.  This particular view describes what was actually offered to individuals over the course of 2011.  Business intelligence software for health insurance companies provides the facts that allow for the competitive insights that can be applied to marketing, sales, and executive management decisions.
