There were 2 companies that decreased rates for 2011.  Cigna decreased rates for their Health Savings Account plans by 3% in July while coverage remained unchanged.  Meanwhile, Humana One decreased all rates between October and November by approximately 8% after increasing them by 3.4% and 3.2% in March and July respectively.  Assurant raised their rates the most.  A 24% increase from January rates to December rates.

Any number of conclusions can be drawn from this data.  This particular view simply describes the actual plan quotes offered to individuals in 2011.  Business intelligence software for health insurance companies produces the facts that allow for the insights that can be applied to competitive decisions in marketing, sales, and executive management teams.
